A content generator. That is what I am. As a writer that's what I provide: content; in story form. Screenplays, novels, or even in my artwork, I'm constantly generating content for an audience. Hopefully someday I'll make that key connection and get the pros to take charge of the content I've created. Pros in the form of book publishers or a production company that is producing one of my scripts.
One of the things I struggle with is how much time to spend on polishing my work, and when it's time to start something fresh. Guess I write this with a leaning towards starting a new story. Something from scratch. You see right now, it's edit the 2nd novel. All. The. Time.
Why do that? Because I don't quit on things, and I keep finding ways of improving it. The problem is, that I can only writer a hobby right now. I'm not a rich person. I have to work to support myself. Not working is not an option for me. The world needs more patrons of the arts. Need to find mine.
The other problem is, who to trust with my work even if I was to farm it out for editing? Haven't found that person or entity yet. So, it's all on me to only generate content, but to perfect that content too. Line editing is just SUCH A GRIND. Sometimes doing it I don't even feel like a writer anymore. Just a word grunt. A helpless foot-soldier advancing out on the battlefield of words, sentence structure, and pacing.
This is what they call a "spider box" in the construction industry; a generator that supplies power off a master generator.
Well-p, not a lot more to say on the subject for now, so I'll close. Next post will be my 2017 NFL predictions. That's always a fun post for me to do. Till then, stay well.
Sincerely,
E.C. Henry
